Sensory Bucket

I made Hattie a sensory bucket. I have been wanting to make her a touch and feel book, but I saw an idea for a sensory tub and thoght this bucket would be more hands on for her. In her bucket there are squares of silk, t-shirt, fuzzy fabric, light weight slippery fabric, fish net, denim, terry cloth, velour, a piece of a ribbed place mat, and two ribbons of different textures.
She saw the bucket this morning and it was the first thing she went to. She explored it for about 15 minutes this morning, and loved taking everything out and putting it back in. She also enjoyed taking the different fabrics and touching them to her face. Her favorite pieces were the two ribbons, she liked moving them around and watching them fly in the air. Tomorrow I think I am going to make her a ribbon kite!
